Okay, and you can go into any Apple Store retail outlet.

You can pull out your phone—you can’t do this with a computer or a phone, but you can do it with a pair of $300 headphones.

You can do it with cables, plugs, whatever you need.

You can scan the item on your phone and you can walk out, right?

No bag, no nothing—just walk out.

  • retail：零售
  • pull：拉
  • pull out：拉出、這邊指的是從口袋或袋子裡拿出的動作
  • a pair of：一對（耳環、耳機等等）
  • headphone：耳機（原來這種耳機用的量詞是 a pair of）

你可以走進任何一間蘋果零售店，拿出手機——你不能對電腦或手機這樣做，但你可以對一副 300 美元的耳機這樣做。你可以對線材、插頭，任何你需要的東西這樣做。你可以用手機掃描商品，然後就可以直接走出去，對吧？不用袋子，什麼都不用——就直接走出去。

And when it first came out, after a few months, I pulled one of the managers aside.

I’m like, “I’m dying to know what’s happened to your shoplifting numbers.”

And he’s like, “They’re exactly the same.”

I’m like, “What?” He says, “People who steal, steal, and people who don’t steal, don’t steal. And most people don’t steal. People tend to be good, right? Most people are good people. Sometimes we struggle to communicate, sometimes we’re bad under pressure, but people tend to be good.”
